Parliamentarians treated to private view of ‘Teeth’

11 July 2018

Parliamentarians and stakeholders were invited to the Wellcome Collection on Wednesday 11th July 2018 to enjoy a private viewing of the 'Teeth' exhibition.

Wellcome Collection's Head of Programmes, James Peto, gave a tour of the exhibition, which includes 60 objects loaned by the BDA showcasing dental history. The exhibition also looks at dentistry today, featuring a video with BDA England Community Dental Service Committee Chair Charlotte Waite talking about treating nervous and anxious dental patients. After the tour, APPG Chair Sir Paul Beresford MP and BDA Chair Mick Armstrong addressed the group and reflected on the incredible strides made in the field of dentistry in the past decades, but stressed the important work still lying ahead in terms of reducing oral health inequalities and improving access to NHS dentistry for all.
